During a plein-aire paint-out in Apalachicola, Florida, I found this perfect place to paint along
the Apalachicola River near the Scipio Creek marina with a little lane winding around a tree and
a nice shaded area to protect me. The only problem was I couldn't see the river. Then to my
delight, while I was painting a fishing boat passed by in full view from across the weeds and gave
me the reference I needed to complete the story of the painting. |
